A closet that looks great in a photo can still be frustrating to use if it wasn't designed around what goes in it. Before thinking about finishes or lighting, take a quick inventory.
Count roughly how much you hang versus fold. Shirts, blouses, and folded pants work best in double-hang sections, with two rods stacked. Dresses, long coats, and suits need long-hang. Most people have far more double-hang than long-hang, and planning for that frees up a lot of wall space.
Next, shoes and accessories. Count your pairs and decide whether you want them on angled shelves, flat shelves, or in drawers. Belts, ties, watches, and jewelry fit neatly into shallow drawers with dividers, which keeps them visible and dust-free.
Then think about height. Things you use every day should sit between your shoulders and knees. Higher shelves are good for luggage and off-season items, and a step stool can live in the closet if needed.
Finally, if there's room, an island or bench gives you a place to fold, sit, and set things down. Bring your inventory to the estimate and we'll design the closet around it, then build and install it to fit.
