A built-in wall unit is one of the most noticeable pieces in a home, and also one of the easiest to get wrong if the planning is rushed. A few decisions up front make the difference.
Start with the TV. Decide on the screen size you'll own for the next several years, and whether it will hang on the wall or sit on a shelf. The unit's center opening, viewing height, and depth all follow from that.
Next, wiring. Think about where the cable box, gaming console, soundbar, and router will live, and how the cords will reach them. Planning conduit and ventilated cabinet space before fabrication is what keeps wires hidden and equipment from overheating.
Then storage and display. Closed lower cabinets hide clutter; open upper shelves show off books and objects. A common balance is closed below, open above, with integrated LED lighting to make the shelves feel finished.
Last, finish. Paint-grade units blend into the room; stained wood or a flat-panel modern finish becomes a feature. Bring photos of what you like to the free estimate and we'll design the unit around your wall, your equipment, and your style.
